I told you all I would keep you updated on what happened in court today so here goes nothing. Please forgive my rant in advance...lol. 
Apparently the judicial system thinks that the two assaults on my son and the subsequent brain infarction (which doctors are now telling us could very well be from the head trauma sustained during the assaults...further testing is the only way to be more conclusive), not to mention the threats made ("I'm gonna finish what my son started to do twice but couldn't get done" "Don't go to sleep tonight or you're a dead b*tch cause I'm gonna burn your house down!" "You'd better be doing some praying cause after court tomorrow, you're gonna get yours!") oh and let's not forget the neck slicing gesture this bully made to my son at school, which was caught on tape!!!! Oh, and last night while we were watching the fireworks display at a local lake, this "punk" chased my son into the bathroom, had him trapped inside the stall crying in fear of his life for close to an hour, all the time pacing back and forth in front of the stall saying things like "You've gotta come out sometime!" and "If I'm going down tomorrow for beating your a**, I'm going to make sure I get another good one in before I go!" Now keep in mind I went immediately to the police who were there at the lake as "security" and informed them, with my almost hysterical son at my side telling him what happened, and all I was told was "Yeah that ain't right. Best thing I can tell you to do is go to the police department in the morning and make a report on it." Morning?
That little sh*t was going to be in court in the MORNING for what he had done to my son and our entire family! I went straight away to the police department and gave them my statement along with my son giving him his statement so that it could be in court in the morning to prove that this "kid" isn't going to stop...no matter what! Did it work? NOPE!!! NOT AT ALL!!!!! Right now, at 2pm in the afternoon the day after, do they have the report??? NOPE!!! Will they ever get it??? PROBABLY NOT!!! And here's why I say that....
Every time this kid or his family has threatened or intimidated my son or our family in ANY way, I have ALWAYS contacted the police department because people tell me to trust the cops, trust the system. Well I did that, and each time, 5 + total violations that I can recall right now on 0 sleep in 38 hours, the officer who responded to my call always reassured me by saying "I'll get this filed first thing in the morning then we'll go from there. In the meantime, if you have any further problems with them, please give us a call so we can document it as well because each violation is a separate offense." When I went to the prosecutors office this morning after court to discuss this matter with them as I was instructed to do so by my State Representative, I was still brushed off. Came as no surprise, in fact, I expected it. It was then that I learned that not 1 violation of the restraining order from this "punks" parents had ever been filed!!!! They had only 1 reported violation on file, and that was the incident where this kid made the neck slicing gesture to my son at school!!!
But Rep. Ellsworth's office told me that they had to talk to me, they had to press charges because not every violation was a juvenile matter as they were telling me that it was. They also told me that if I was refused, then I simply had to let them know that Angela from Rep. Elsworth's office wanted their name, their job title, and their phone number because as soon as I left their office, I was contacting her by phone and she would personally be initiating an investigation on their entire office for unlawful practice and failure to protect the constituents who put them in office in the first place!!! Did that. Still nothing!!!!
Called the local news again. Waiting on them to call me back. They have already done 1 story on this after the second attack and the judge (the same judge who sentenced this "punk" to 2 days, btw) refusing to provide my son and my family with a restraining order against him and his family. THEY DON'T CARE!!!! Where is the justice??? And while we were at court today (which never took place), we sat out in the hallway for over an hour waiting for someone to talk with us on what was going on because this kid and his parents were in the judges chambers signing a plea of guilty that he had entered, and we weren't allowed to be in there, we weren't allowed to be heard....NOTHING!!! And I just received a letter that you sign for from the post office from the probation department the latter part of the first week of June, letting me know that we could be there, we had a "right" to be heard, we had a "right" to submit bills, additional evidence, etc. to the court for review prior to sentencing, and I was also told that I could address the court with my sentiments and views on the matter. Did I get to do that??? NO!!!!! Did the judge get to hear about the brain blockage my son has now??? NO!!!!!
So my mom has now called Governor Mitch Daniels office in Indianapolis, Indiana. His spokesperson informed my mother, after hearing her entire story of what has taken place from start to finish, has asked us to submit a "statement" if you will. Our story of what has happened on paper. We were informed that an official inquiry was going to be taking place with the town of Shelburn, the county of Sullivan, the police officials involved, the prosecutor, the probation department, and the judge who handled the sentencing today....and we were told that if even 1 thing was found to be substantiated in our claim, that this entire matter would be sent to the Indiana Supreme Court for review. I'll have to believe it to see it. Sorry! Been lied to enough. Can't trust any of the officials in this state.
We didn't even find out what happened in the sentencing hearing this morning until 1pm this afternoon. I called the probation department so that they could "fill me in" on what took place this morning with this kid concerning my son. I'm gonna quote this, cause I'll never forget it as long as I live:
I cut her off. I knew EXACTLY what she was gonna say cause living in a small town, you hear so much talk and crap. And she had already told a person close to the family that my son had sent her son a threatening message on myspace on a particular day, I think it was like June 21st, but anyway, my son wasn't even here that day and we only have one computer. I know the day was a Saturday because our rat hole of a town was having a festival that weekend and that particular day was the parade. I didn't go because I refuse to partake in any event that "celebrates" this town in which I live. Personally, I find it repulsive and disgusting and can't wait to get out of here. But Mitchell went to the parade with his dad. The parade started at 3pm, I think it was. Somewhere around there. Anyways, I was online that day for 7 hours checking poetry here, checking TPS, and playing pogo. I know, I remember it well because that very afternoon while the parade was going on, I received several anonymous name/anonymous number calls back to back to back. I mean, as soon as I would answer and then hang up, it was ringing again....same thing!!! And our number is a private, unlisted number. Only certain people have access to it. I KNOW it was this same kid who beat my son up twice. He has a lisp when he speaks and his voice is very unique. And he did used to hang out at my house when I first moved here. The last call he made during that short 5-10 minute period was "B*tch! I'm the n***** who f***** your daughter and I'm going to f*** your world up!!!! You're getting yours!!!!". Of course I called the police. They said they couldn't do anything. Of course! Why did I waste my time or energy on picking up the phone and dialing their number in the first place? I should have known better! But we have vonage and every call made, as well as every call received is kept on the dashboard at the vonage website, so I have that as extra proof of the anonymous calls that I received. I even called vonage to ask them if there was any way we could maybe trace the calls, but there wasn't any way. So now they're trying to press charges on my son for a threat that these people (who have proved lie repeatedly to the cops) claim my son made on a day and time that he wasn't even around a computer, he was sitting on the side of the main street in town watching the parade with his dad. Don't you all wish you could be as talented as my son and be in two places at one time like that and do so many magical things? Sure would make my life easier...roflmao! I'm sure it would makes yours easier as well! And I proved to an Indiana State Police Officer that this mom was lying to them the day the neck slicing thing took place. She told the cop that just yesterday I was driving my minivan by her house threatening her, harassing her, and things of the like. At the time, my minivan had been broken down for 4 months. The front axle was busted and it was physically impossible to move without a tow truck!!! That PROVED she was a liar!!!! And if we would have been able to have been in there this morning, then we would have had a chance to defend ourselves and let them know there was no physical way my son could have sent those so called messages. In fact, the same time I was online receiving those threatening phone calls searching my dashboard at vonage, is when this kid and his parents claim that this threatening message was sent. Ha! Ha! Ha! OMG!!!!! Are you kidding me? Is she really that dumb, or does she think that she's that smart to think she can control and manipulate the system with her lies and crap to make it work to her advantage? When she's already been proven to be a liar? Give me a break!!!!
And what about the threatening messages my daughter Caitlynne received from the girl who held her up against the garage while the second assault was taking place and said to her "If you say anything, you're a dead b*tch!", reaffirming the threat to her in a message on that stupid myspace? When I took them into the probation office with me to show them to the probation officer asking her why this girl wasn't being charged with anything, she said "It's myspace. Do you really let your kids on there? I think it's a breeding ground for trouble and personally, I don't believe anything I hear about myspace 'cause it's usually just a bunch of young kids trying to get a response out of someone. And it's clearly getting a response out of you and your daughter, so it's working for her, isn't it? Just ignore it, block her, and don't accept anymore messages from her." And this is the same woman who just told me today that she's investigating my son and pressing charges on him for a threatening message that this kid claims my son sent him? OH NO SHE DIDN'T!!!!! She ain't gonna come after my son like that when she didn't enforce the law with the other girls message! Even though I know my son couldn't have possibly sent that message, my point is, when the shoe was on the other foot of another kid whose last name wasn't Piker, it was no big deal! But now that it's on the foot allegedly by a boy with the last name Piker, they want to get all goony loony on his butt and stick him with all they can!!!! Anyone feel my frustration here? Sorry for the anger and the venting, but if I can't share this with my family and friends, then who can I share it with? I know this isn't a side of me that you all see very much, but as a mamma enraged, I just can't help it!!!! I'm clearly not proud of this side of me, but it's there just the same when I'm pushed hard enough I guess. But like I said in the beginning of this thread, I told you all I would update you as soon as I had any news, and here is everything the best I can recall from start to finish. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to finish that letter to the State Representative, and I am then going to make a few more phone calls to those I need to about this horrible nightmare.....at least that's my plan (I might fall down any minute face first onto the keyboard in front of me and pass out for the next 12-14 hours from the serious lack of sleep that I've had the last 3 days...lol), and then I'm going to try and keep Bob from committing capital murder when he wakes up (He still has NO idea on the "sentencing" this kid got for attacking his son....and to be honest, I wish there was a way to keep it from him). Wish me luck, please, please, please, PLEASE keep my family in your thoughts and prayers, cause I'm truly afraid that it's only gonna get much worse around here before it gets any better. And please excuse the parts of this thread that don't seem to make any sense. Like I said, I'm sleep deprived and fired up, and that's not a good thing for anybody....lol. I'll keep you all posted.

It will be such a huge relief and I must say, a party to celebrate once we're officially in there doesn't sound half bad.
