[glow=red,2,300]Let's dance the dance of yesterday...won't you be my partner? We're all going down to the park to play... How I wish you could come out today.
Wondrous slides and tall trees abound, when you get well you'll be able to see... There will always be a seat for you, right next to me.
If you came out today, I wouldn't push you away...the others are scared, but I know there is nothing to fret. When you're ready you'll be right where you should...
Legs dangling long, high up in the air... Just a child, so fancy and free...not a care in the world that's what you most aptly deserve...
We'll climb so high...just you and I...we'll reach for the clouds, and never come down. [/glow]

Welcome to Poet Share, bluedove! All children deserve to be carefree: it's too sad when they're unwell. I like how you skirted around the illness, mentioning it only in passing to establish your story's foundation. A sweet write and enjoyed. H x

Written with such caring and concern indicative of the unconditional love from an innocent child for another. Very heartwarming and lovely. The sympathy was calming and serene, intertwined with a bit of sadness and longing.
I enjoyed it very much, well done.
