A night born in fury Yet another bribed jury But you hath no reason to worry For it'll all be over soon Once the prophecy comes to bloom Under a heated hunter's moon
The little ones scurry The forgotten are buried Under the blotted sun's flurries We'll bathe in the fumes Sultry apocalypse consumes Everything that you thought you knew...You cannot be serious? Surely you are delirious Hell-bent on fear-mongering lust I find it dark but humorous That an ancient calender holds your trust We will not perish in a cloud of dust Do us all a favor Grasp your end of the world And be so vicarious As to keep your Armageddon to yourself It's not quite yet time for us

I agree a very good poem, reminding me of the forsight of Nostradarmus's 2000 apocalypse which never happened I think people look too much into peoples random theories and not enough like Ker said about the world we live in the nature...anyway as I said great poem Max much enjoyed my friend!

Apart from enjoying the message, I like how you've presented this piece, Max. Obviously any prophecy can be interpreted however it suits a particular political or religious agenda: meanwhile, it takes the heat off our real issues. Daily, I see man-created changes, which "could" lead to our "self"-destruction. I doubt we'll need to wait for a planetary alignment. When we're not doing anything to stop it, fear-mongering allows bending the people's will, which I loathe. This piece has a flowing rhythm and I like your rhyme scheme as well as unusual phrasing and rhyming words. Bravo!! H x
