Things That We Leave Behind
I met a man, who said he’d just met a man who had entertained him with his wit. Offering him a rare smile, I longingly thought: a dose of laughter, I could use a good fit
And so, that kindly stranger took me back to the place he had seen him last. Then, to my obvious surprise, he introduced me to the exact image of my past.

Bravo dearheart, I have not seen you write in this style before, but I love it. It carries a lovely flow and brought a smile of recognition to my face. I enjoyed the way it came full circle. *hug* Penny

I loved the rhyme and flow of this piece. I could hear a very calm voice narrating the poem in my head as I read it. The ending leaves me itching for more, itching to see what image of the past is being seen here. Very entertaining and original piece, my friend
