Jamie,
I have used the background change key and it looks cool.. as long as I stay on default as my skin. However when I was checking out the new skins I found a couple that wrote my words in white font which made it so you couldn't see the words at all with a yellow background.. So even though it is a cool function, I don't know who can and who cannot read the replies I have with a yellow background because it depends upon their skin..
I doubt if there is anything that can be done about this but it is the only problem I have found with having a different background color other than the normal white one.

That's actually easily solved--you're leaving the text as its default, which does show up well in each skin as long as the background is the default for that skin as well. Just highlight your text, pick the color you want the text to display as well, and it will stay that way across the skins, as will the background. Let me know how that works for you, but I think it should solve the problem.
