So often we hear "beauty lies in the beholder's eye" If that's the case then tell me why We feel the need to put a number on perfect Never considering how many lives are wrecked Too many times, women turned away For having a chest or hips with a sway Oh what would the goddess of love have to say If she saw how her image was portrayed today Women hiding behind skin and bone With wrists the size of a damned cell phone Acting as if puberty is some kind of curse Not realizing that a skeleton is much f*cking worse Refusing to eat, oh yea, that's sexy as hell Just go ahead and dehydrate me as well Maybe then the perfect woman I'd be But f*ck you all, I'd rather be me!

Sistahs, can I get an A-MEN? *choir sings out A-MEN* Take my words, for I am a picky, judging man: there is nothing sexy about a girl who is so thin that she can slip through the cracks in the floors, or be blow out in an open window with a breeze. You're beautiful the way you are, both inside and out... and I wouldn't want you any other way. This is a damned good poem... don't ever change who you are baby.

Anorexia taken to its extremes can certainly be a cruel price for love; ironically, the price paid may even result in repelling those the sufferer hopes to lure.

Powerful Poem.
The media and modelling world is an evil culture that has spread it's venom into society.
Thought provoking and not missing a beat I applaud you for your honesty.
