The sweetest dreams sit circumscribed By penitent reality Awaiting slumber’s nightly slide To visions from banality
Where freedom dances on a pin As angels sit playing poker-- Where soldiers die for Gunga Din And the Devil’s a mere joker.
In dreams from doldrums I escape Daily mundane ruination Closing my eyes to don a cape— Let fly my imagination
‘Til then, I water-bearer be, While daylight moves from east to west Thank God for giving me daydreams Lest sanity be put to test.

Wonderful write, Jamie! Fantastic intro, you give chosen dream images life - and a great outro. Solid rhyme scheme and rhythm makes the piece. If you hadn't dreamed, we wouldn't have PS. *sighs Dream well, dear friend. H x

Geez Jamie way to make us all look bad lol. You are such a talented poet. The imagery in this is outstanding and you describe the bliss of the daydream perfectly. I love to daydream and i do it often...not really a good idea when you're driving to class but i haven't run off the road yet . Incredible Jamie!
