I spent a summer sunset under a Willow The air was crisp and clean Gentle winds softly blew through and through Playful thoughts with each sway A solitary view Painting me a pastel portrait where I lay
I can hear soft sounds of violins Stately form, so lovely her face Move me, sing with me you shining star There is nothing, one can compare
You were strong enough to make it this far Who can deny the joy it brings I can fly without wings
My dreams came true because of you You have my unspoken passion Just to hold you close, for a moment in time All troubles fade when you touch me
I hear your quiet voice that lifts my heart It's all worthwhile, even the smallest of dreams My June Willow, my key to true calmness
I sing[/font][/i]

I am just breathing in this wonderful poem and collecting my thoughts ...................... summer, flowers and a blue sky surround me, birds sing whilst I read this powerful poem. Powerful because the imagery shouts beauty in the foreground whilst the narrator tells the story. In awe, you do write the most beguiling poetry dear friend. I shall bookmark this one for sure. A cookie for you dear heart, and well deserved indeed Kerry xx

Very beautiful, gentlewind. We all have different reasons to sing: this is like a love poem, tenderly wrapped up in nature's serenity. Just reading this piece is calming. Bravo. H x
