Days of Our Days
The kitchens on fire And you're not cooking With a fist of lies You're clearly not listening
The days of our days Drifting guns over graves Question is: are you pleased? Energies wasted on the ground
The young clinging to freedom Blessed into entrapment swallowing their innocent tongues No sound, no redemption songs
Take off your skins! Within you're still burning No words or answers On these wireless phones
There’s an arrow in your soul A tear in your eye I know you're not sleeping I see past those eyes
The scent of a bullet Piercing these heavens Is like a cold wind Embracing a kings spirit
And yet still only lies

I know you fel so deeply about things Jay and you are a passionate soul always. Your view on these matters is intelligent and true to your cause. I know you are a peaceful soul too, and it shows in this passionate write how much you crave for peace. Much love, Kerry xx

I loved this Jay, but the following was really what came across as the most metaphoric and passionate of all your words in this one:
I wasn't sure I'd be able to relate to what I was reading in this board, and I really wasn't sure if I would like it at all, but I must confess. After the three wonderful poems I've read in here today, I am clearly a huge fan of this board as it comes across to me as a board with the power to get so many messages across in a non-violent way to those in positions of power. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.
Hugs~~~ Stacy

You used a lot of different metaphors here to make your point but the first two lines are what grabbed me and made me read on. Powerful, my friend. Written like you are the Pariah who is forced to watch the downfall . . . *exalt*
