The silver linings turn to rust The Soviet soldiers turned to dust The whistling through the big blue The touch landing inferno's the crew
The booklet was a gruesome novel The words contain a sarcastic grovel The time strangely seemed to extend The lives bent, twisted and broken
The varnish? had dried leaving stains The red colours worth all the fame? The jumping from oblivious heights The conclusion must be suicide?
London's burning, New York’s breaking Berlin’s crumbling, Moscow's freezing Africa's crying, China's falling L.A's cracking, Israel’s divided Japans creating, Korea's sneaking Russia's laughing, Britain's raining The Royals are fearing, that President's lying again

You have penned a bitter list of military and political failure, Jay. History does seem to show that through the ages leaders always lead their leaders into incremental catastrophes that eventually result in absolute catastrophe. But perhaps catastrophe is a necessary evil, something that is genuinely ineluctable.
