Today I rise and feel the bloom of love within my chest, Content the day to start again with you, I wake up on a high believing I am truly blessed, The half-life of the night finally through.
We carve out our mementos as the sun rises above, Though we can never know what's on her mind, The genius of her warming daylight pales beside our love, Such reveries, implausible, we find.
At night we tidy up our home, good mornings put aside Like magazines we'll read from time to time For once again tomorrow you will make me shine inside When you say, "Good Morning, love, rise and shine!"
Artist: Duncan Sheik Album: Daylight Tracks: "Genius" – 3:43 "Half-Life" – 3:59 "Start Again" – 3:55 "On Her Mind" – 4:11 "Such Reveries" – 5:00 "On a High" – 3:36 "Magazines" – 3:47 "For You" – 2:11 "Good Morning!" – 4:04 "Memento" – 3:47 "Shine Inside" – 10:19

I loved this such beautiful sentiment made from some really tough titles I would say. But still masterfully done Jamie. I really like the idea of the prompt it adds something new to try. I loved how you used the last line aswell very loving in respect to your Norm and from him to you too, pure poetry from the heat, creative and excellent!!!

I found the mentioning of the sun, and not ever knowing what is on her mind, to be quite enchanting.. seems this year we can't even predict how long she will hang around and bless us with her warming rays..
enjoyed, as Jay said, this poem felt really from the heart and appealed to the romantic in me.
tc friend.

Jamie after all of your writes just lately I find myself smiling and realising that in this life there is always hope. You seem so happy, content and your writing always shows this. You inspire me, this poem was just gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing my friend. K xx
