Within ~
She feels cardboard cut out emotion as feedback for three dimensional trying, can life outside of this box improve?
Colour from the beauty of nature drains pale at small talk, kaleidoscope pieces drift just out of reach.
Floating with the buoyancy of imagination to those fragments just a fingertip away, she manages to grab one layer of hope.
The world shall be her oyster shell prized open from a prison cell with determination sharp as blades.
Watching the space she opened like a can of worms for secret signs of ambition squirming chewing at the bit for self worth.
It’s in here somewhere.

I think we all have it within ourselves to better ourselves as people and in things that we do and I am behind you no matter what you wish to do Kerry, you are an amazing poet and you continue to express your emotions with great magnitude no matter the form, brilliant xx

Love the opening, I had to take a moment to get my head around it, but I felt like the speaker was rather upset with the lack of reciprocation for her efforts, to the point where the frustration imprisoned her. The imagery in the following stanzas was brilliant, a mixture of depression, then hope all captured with evocative descriptive language - the line "Floating with the buoyancy of imagination" is amazing, just thinking about it makes my imagination float! Great writing, much enjoyed, Mick
