The birth of All Souls
Tomorrow would be All Souls day So this night only she would savour; The night children should be scared at play She could smell their fear, but taste sweet flavour! Dark as liquorice was the sky, The street aglow with candles glowing. In her mind oh! How she would fly Amongst the celestial spangles' knowing. There were those who failed to still believe But she was proof, they were wrong! No need of paint or pointed sleeves For those whose faith was truly strong. So to autumnal woods with skeletal trees She took her weird and wonderful book; The moon observed as she fell to her knees by a tree stump alter near a babbling brook.
~
She uttered words known only to her Rituals mumbled by fellow crowd, Only once in October this event occurred, The chanting constant was becoming loud. Dry leaves began to spin and coil Soft rain fell down to soak the earth. The scent of sage and dampened soil Brought long dead spirits to see the birth Of all souls day where they came to rest Where evil souls sank down below. The sacred circle had done their best to watch goodness over evil grow. She waved farewell until next year Smelled burned out vegetables at every door. They would never see her and never hear She was just a myth, she lived no more.

the Wiccan faith is fascinating, the closeness they feel with the planet is unlike any other faith. Truly loved the story and the ease in which it's told.
as Max said, "Enchanting" is a very good description of your write, you are quite a talent my dear.
