Please Note: "If I Had A Dollar" ~ is a DragonsOfRose prompt.
Responsibility
Happily, I’d make remarkable improvements if I had a dollar, multiplied by a few billion. I could live extravagantly high - or modestly and pay an entire country’s international debt so its people have the chance to start again.
If I had a dollar, duplicated to one million there are so many things that I could do. I’d own everything I wanted - or show care building clean wells, promoting self-support and sponsoring a needy community - or two.
If I had a dollar, one thousand times over: that’s how little "making a difference" costs, I'd modernise my old kitchen - or instead I could feed, clothe and educate a family for a whole year, without feeling any loss.
With just one hundred more than a dollar, I’d cure some ills - give sight to four blind. Maybe I’d enjoy a night out on the town or put a sheltered roof over several heads and demonstrate that people "can" be kind.
If I had only cents, a dollar would feel remote There would be no food to keep my belly still. My world would be desperate with no shelter nor warmth, home-style comfort or optimism. One dollar given would be a positive miracle.
In combined wealth of nations, if I give a dollar and one billion others offer their dollar-to-spare - it really isn’t an exorbitant amount to donate, we could achieve great improvements together with our tiny gifts, by being generous and aware!

In your hands the dollar is well used. I liked your presentation of this with the italicied portion holding separate meanings within the total writing. Nice

If I don't exalt you soon, please PM me. This was beautiful, and I agree with the message 100%. When reading the line "Maybe I'd enjoy a night out on the town", I felt guilty at that moment, for even as broke college student I know that I could still afford to put my money to better uses than drinking on the weekend or whatnot. The blue lines really sent the message home at parts, I loved this piece through and through. Will exalt when able, my friend. Exalted
