Mirrors are not only hangings on the wall Something we stare into and see reflections, Other people, our mirrors each day As we seek our own selves so watch what you say.
Like it or not that’s what we do, Have you ever taken an instant dislike? Look within yourself, reflect. No doubt you saw an inner defect.
Mirrors can teach, they can shine, They can reflect imperfections. Not wise to judge without looking inside Sometimes mirrors crack and reveal what we hide

mirrors do reflect back things that sometimes we ourselves are in denial about, mirrors are honest and don't tell lies. I always thought Micheal Jackson's song "Man in the Mirror" had the best message, we have to look in the mirror first at ourselves before we can point our fingers at anyone else.
Enjoyed this write, on the surface, it seems simple. Yet like the mirror it reflects a much deeper meaning.

Very good point and a good write. Mirrors are fascinating: they reflect truth, without care for our feelings, but they don't judge like us. Does your butt look big in that outfit? - only if you perceive that it does or you imagine it does in someone else's eyes, which is again, a reflection of your perception. Two mirrors, lined up to reflect back at each other, magnify a minor crack (or flaw) in one to become an epidemic: it's like what people too often do. H x PS: your butt doesn't look big!

A woman of my own heart, time and I think this was about the depth of your personality maybe the ugliness that you think lays under your skin showing in the mirror. A very delicate write but it seemed so very sad too! Great write yet again Ker xx

Thank you for the insightful replies. This is actually about how people can see themselves in others, sometimes it can work and other times it can have devastating effects. Bullying is an example, but so is falling for someone who has a romantic heart because two people can see in eath other what they want. Sorry for rambling. K x
