Charlie the cheeky monkey.
Charlie the monkey was cheeky one day, He threw his banana skin on the walk way. Along came the elephant and slipped on the skin He landed so heavy and made such a din! The elephant squirted that monkey with glee The giraffe laughed at monkey at what he did see. So Charlie climbed up the giraffes great long neck And sat on his head for a very long trek! The lions all saw the strange creature walk by, A tall thing with a hair ball on top in the sky! They laughed at the site and made Charlie all cross So at the mean lions a coconut tossed. It hit daddy lion on the end of his nose So what happened then? He was mad I suppose. He chased the giraffe till they came to some water Giraffe stopped much quicker than he really oughta! Charlie went flying so fast through the air And landed in front of a crocodile there. The crocodile licked his sharp teeth with a grin Charlie knew better than to put his head in So he swam for his life back to mummy at home Now that cheeky monkey no longer does roam.

well, that is one way for Charlie the cheeky monkey to learn a lesson, although I'm not sure which lesson Charlie learned.. was it not to throw banana peels in front of elephants? or maybe not to climb up giraffe necks? or howabout don't throw coconuts at lions? gosh, so many lessons poor Charley needs to learn.
Kerry, you have a wonderful gift with words, and it seems not to limited on the style, message or tone of what you are writing.
quite a fun tale.
