So here I am, tinkering away trying to add different things to the forums, and needy thing that I am, I'd like some feedback. If you've clicked the blog link lately you should see that there's a post there which demos all of the current skins available for you to choose from. I also put the link in an "Announcement" which is at the top of every board. I added a "smilie" box to the left of the pane where you write messages/poems, so you can choose from more smilies if you like. If you have a smilie in mind that you think we should add, send me the image link and I'll take a look at it. As always, I'm open to suggestions. I also added two new buttons today - a BG button for the background function, which lets you choose the color of the background for any post (just substitute the hex code OR the color name that you'd like your post to be for the caps "COLOR" that the button creates)
- A Spoiler button that
hides words like this--good for jokes where you want to hide the punchline, movie discussions, etc.,
I also have the Announcements separated and hidden by default, though you can view them by clicking "Show" up above. It should keep down load times for the pages. Let me know what you think of these changes and what you'd like to see in the future.

Jamie, I cant speak highly enough of the way you are developing this site. It seems almost daily we see little tweaks that enhance the enjoyment of this place . I love the hidden message facility and the smilies are hilarious. The skins are a real pleasure to use. Thank you for all your hard work. There is also an air of freedom here and I for one am mindful not to abuse it but happy that I can express myself in such an atmosphere.

I agree with Foggy, the changes in this site are amazing. You have brought things I have never seen before and quite honestly, I'm excited with what you may bring next.
Keep up the awesome work

You are our Tinkerer-extraordinaire: we have almost all of the bells and whistles we could hope for. Tis indeed looking grand, Jamie (you're very clever), and the spoiler and BG are good new toys. The skins are fantastically varied and I'm glad you thought to use the Blog to show them all: that saves on site space and loading time. Congrats for all that you've achieved. H x

Jamie, your heart is so big, and you allowed us all to become a part of a wonderful community when you created PoetShare. The little things you do everyday add up to big accomplishments and are enjoyed by everyone here. Foggy said it best.... Love and Hugs~~~ Stacy

I echo everything above, Jamie. You have outdone yourself. You were meant to set up a forum!

Added an Arcade for when you're bored, (let me know if you don't see the smiley guy in the menu bar above with a joystick) and replaced the Colorpicker Wheel with an extended dropdown--I think it's easier for you.

Made some changes today meant to unclutter the front page. Everything that was in the PM Bar is now hidden, but if you click the PM button up top, voila! I may narrow the forum width a bit as well, don't know quite yet.

I admire you dear tinkerer. When I was online last night navigating through the vast array of sites for proboard templates, proboard this and that, I was overwhelmed. I saw codes to paste in headers and footers and the like, and I couldn't make heads nor tails of it all, roflmao. I HIGHLY admire you for all that you do around here. You are truly the mastermind behind the stage, per say, and you play the absolute biggest role here at PoetShare. If others only had a clue as to how difficult managing a proboards site really is...***sighs***. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do each and every day on stage and off, for I don't think I ever tell you enough just how much I appreciate all that you do. Huggles~~~ Me

Oh, stop, you'll make me blush. I know you all appreciate it (and if you want help with your other site just gimme a holla, hon.) I learn the coding as I go. When I started out I made a LOT of mistakes. Heck, if not for the "back" button, I'd have lost my test forums this morning!! Some codes work, but not together. So it's trial and error much of the time. But I've learned how to tweak some of the codes out there to make things do extra stuff, which makes me puff my chest a bit. I hope this latest change grows on everyone. It seems a bit daunting at first, but should cut down the load times for people and display more of the screen all at once. And the new PM slide-down thingy's just plain nifty--and it contains everything, even "recent posts" link, that the old PM bar did! *chuckle*

Jamie, Just when I think this site couldn't possibly be improved you improve it, I truly love these recent changes, cleaner, tidier, more logical. I was almost moved to tears. Ok I was moved to tears. If this is what taking a vacation does for you then take a few more.(But not too many).
With deep respect, Tearful of Devon.
