This is a fantastic write, carousal. The image of this nursery is crisp and very real. "Flesh from the pulsing cave... arms raised in pink surrender". Can one paint a better picture than this of a nursery? I think not. Solid, solid write my friend.

This brings smiles, Cari. The stuffed toy description is wonderful: "Kitsch stuffed flotsam Glass eyed staring" while the entire nursery scene becomes perfumed and scarily reality touches blank pages: "Seen through unfocussed eyes". Great job, H x

Consumerism may be tacky, but it's still fun, especially for children unburdened by affectations of good taste.

If I'm not mistaken, that last refers to one of those children's projectors . . . You really nailed the detail on this, and the third stanza lends a real depth, a sense of the child's perspective (leading nicely to the 4th stanza). *exalt*

This is both soft and dreamy.
I do believe a nap is in order.
