- Two new color schemes for you: Hope and Pinkie.
You should now see a Preview button for Quickreplies That's disappointing. The preview button appears, but it posts the reply instead of previewing it. I'll remove it until I find out what the bug is.
- I've also replaced the "Color" dropdown with an advanced colorpicker button. It looks like a colorwheel in the top row of buttons (B, I, U, etc). The old method of adding colors by [ color=Blue ] etc still works if you're stuck on it (I know I do that quite often), but now there are thousands of shades in between to choose from.
Enjoy!

The quickreply is now centered, and you can choose your Mood in your Modify Profile screen.

Ooh, do you have a mood for over-tired, fatigued ... and needing a dog-walker? Poor ol' woofy! She must feel so unloved, with me on-site so much. I'll check them out. H x

I have added the ability to add footnotes[footnote:1]This is a footnote[/footnote] to your posts. Should you wish to explain something about a post, this is how you would go about it.[footnote:2]By adding footnotes, silly![/footnote] It should be noted that code changes such as this may cause bugs in the system, but it's just such a neat feature that I had to try it out.
So how does it work? Just like every other tag, really. Where you would put the "i" inside brackets for italics, or the "b" for bold, you would place "footnote:N" at the beginning of the text you want to be the footnote, and you'd close the footnote afterwards with the "/footnote" . The N in "footnote:N" is the number of the footnote. YOU must place a number where the N is, so keep track of them and don't duplicate footnote numbers or you will have a posting error.
So the formula goes like this:
I want to footnote the word Charleston[footnote:3]The Charleston, popular dance in the early 20th century[/footnote] in this sentence to clarify that I'm writing about The Charleston the Dance and not Charleston the Place.
I want to footnote the word Charleston{footnote:3}The Charleston, popular dance in the early 20th century{/footnote} in this sentence to clarify that I'm writing about The Charleston the Dance and not Charleston the Place.
Change the brackets {}to the squared brackets [] and these two past paragraphs will look the same! That's how you do a footnote.

Duly noted. What a cool little feature! I'm truly impressed. You're doing such a wonderful job with this site, Jamie. You have a heart as big as Texas (OMG, here I go with the cliches again ) Now I'm off to go fishing. Hugs~~~ Stacamia

Now you should see the Wiki button when you post: It's under the color wheel. If you wish to have a word link to its Wikipedia page, simply select the word or Phrase, like [[The American Revolution]], and click the button. Go ahead, click [[The American Revolution]]. See? Wiki links.

I've got another color scheme for you to choose from, this one's quite different.
choose "Poetshare" in "skins" in your Modify Profile screen to try it out. I like this one, might make it the default. Opinions would be nice. *taps foot expectantly

I tried it Jamie and I loved the fonts it used but the colors I find a bit distracting for myself, however I've been called simple more than once.. I will have to revert back to the current default because I love all this white everywhere.. thanks for the choices.. If Amy ever decides to give TPS a overhaul I hope she asks you for help as you have done such a wonderful job here.

[bgcolor=Teal]Now you can change the background color of your posts if you wish. See the new button? If you click that it will say {bgcolor=COLOR} Change COLOR to the color you wish the background to be. In this case, I've chosen Teal. You do not have to close the tags with this function.

Jamie, the Wiki option is wonderful. It will come in handy for some of those many words we often come across that have so many of us looking for the dictionary...lol. This will truly help intensify the emotional aspect of poetry for many, imo. I know it will for me if members choose this option when posting, I think it will really work great for the classical board. Some don't know the difference between a sonnet, or a triolet. I'm one who is still learning so many wonderfully new and exciting things about poetry. ***Applause*** You say you have little creativity. Blah! Blah! Blah! You sell yourself short, my friend. Your creativity shines beautifully in all you do for this wonderful site you've created. I'm sure I speak for many when I say that, too. You're wonderful and I can't thank you enough for this wonderful site. Hugs~~~ Stacamia

UPDATE: I have created and added 2 new skins for you all to choose from and they are.... Please take time to check them out when you all can and let Jamie and I know what you think about them. Also, if there are color schemes you would like to see in a skin for your personal selection, your favorite colors, some cool idea, etc, send me a pm and I'll work on them and see what I can come up with for ya. If you have a title for the skin in mind, include that as well. Hugs~~~ Stacy

The boards are now reordered more appropriately, keeping the kids from the adult stuff. Also, new hovering sub-boards! You can go directly from the main page to the sub-boards. This will become more useful if we add boards or move some boards into others in the future.
